Abstract

BLDX (pronounced Build Ex) is building the technology infrastructure to capture the operations and maintenance records of a building using a scalable and permanent Web3 content data architecture. One of the initial BLDX projects, Flexnode, will be tracking the inner life of a state-of-the-art edge micro data center. These Flexnode data centers are contained in custom manufactured components where knowledge of the sourcing and history of all pieces is paramount for security, maintenance, troubleshooting and updates. This presentation will cover how BLDX is capturing related information of the assembled parts of the data center into the scalable Web3 architecture over the full lifecycle, including: how parts are sourced and from where, manufacturing processes, transportation, commissioning, operations and maintenance, associated vendors for replacement parts, disassembly procedures, salvaging processes, system performance history, embedded carbon measures and related coding, permitting and pre-certifying. These records are intended to improve the safety and security infrastructure of data systems for generations to come.
