Abstract

This paper aims to propose an IPFS-based e-tendering transaction data model for blockchain system. InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) is a distributed web, point-to-point hypermedia protocol. It tries to connect all computing devices to the same file system and the nodes do not need to trust each other. This can add codes to the blockchain that can securely link files. Based on this, the main contributions of this paper are as follows: (1) To build an IPFS-enabled transaction for the e-tendering system using blockchain. The IPFS hash code in the blockchain allows direct access to the source file and corresponds to the transaction time and peer information in the block. (2) To develop smart contracts to support secure information uploading and querying in the e-tendering system. The secure operation of e-tendering systems using blockchain is realized through the above-developed technical components. Furthermore, the proposed technology components will be deployed in the blockchain system to verify secure e-tendering information exchange and operation
